Round Bottom Table Shoot - July 14, 2019 - Prichard, WVA

They had a very busy weekend at Rouundbottom, seventeen shooters Saturday for an Over the Log match and a Table Shoot on Sunday.

12 shooters showed up today for a very competitive shoot. There were shooters from Indiana,Kentucky, North Carolina and West Virginia.

The weather was sunny and pleasant with a slight breeze when we started but as the shoot ended the heat and humidity were beginning to make their presence felt.

The string measures went from 2.843" to 8.558" for the 12 shooters.

1. Bob Grim 2.843"
2. Carl King 3.158"
3. Steve Parker 3.267"
4. Burton Wright  3.525"
5. Don Ross 3.998"

Best X - Bob Grim - 0.051"

Match money for the first 3 places in each match was paid out. 10 of the 12 shooters placed in at least one of the matches.

While they were finishing up the scoring, 8 shooters put up a dollar and did a 50 yard one shot for sighter- one shot for score. Not sure who won but I know the winner was well under an inch.

The folks at Roundbottom cooked up some hot dogs and brats and there was potato salad and chips, deserts and drinks for all.

Don Ross ran the shoot so all went well and PAB took care of the scoring and the payout and it went smoothly.

Thanks to Shelby Hazzlet and all of the Roundbottom group for a really nice shoot and some great food after.

Thanks too to all the shooters that traveled the distance to make it a fun and competitive match.

Carl

Mark Hazzlet won the 50 yard shot, and it was probably under 1/2" .  The reason I remember is that I was supposed to be helping run the 50 yard match, but my target was very close to Mark's, so I had to recuse myself from the decision .  I did agree with the outcome, though: good shooting, Mark!

Great weekend at Roundbottom, as always.

Three things you must remember while target shooting. (1) Align the sights carefully. (2) Squeeze the trigger. (3) Say how did it get over there. http://prwarner.wix.com/mlts-masters
