Howdy, all!

Hi!

I'm here more to learn about muzzleloaders as my knowledge of them is limited. I grew up around guns, hunted, used to practice competition air pistol, but to be honest, shooting was always more my father's passion than my own. Still, there's a lot I'd like to learn. I've been doing historical and genealogical research, chiefly in Ohio, for the last ten years or so, and I'm interested in learning how to discern among 19th C. gunmakers of the southwest Ohio area -- how their craftsmanship, techniques, features of their work distinguished them from each other.

I look forward to reading a lot from you knowledgeable folks, and would love to hear from you about what resources I should consult!

Thanks for having me.

JL

Welcome JLore! Things have been a little quiet on here lately but give them some time!

Just wait until you start fooling with muzzleloaders and the learning curve is endless! About the time you have things figured out along comes something else!

Three things you must remember while target shooting. (1) Align the sights carefully. (2) Squeeze the trigger. (3) Say how did it get over there. http://prwarner.wix.com/mlts-masters
