Got home from our 42nd annual show and meeting at the Lafayette Hotel in Marietta, Ohio last night and am still wound up. The number, and quality, of arms on display just keeps getting better every year and although we lose a couple of members, to age, each year there seems to be a fair number of new and younger attendees. Besides the fun of the show and seeing old friends, we were entertained on Saturday evening by Mel Hankla in the person of General George Rogers Clark. His performance was, as usual, spellbinding and interesting but the best part for me was being able to spend some personal time with Mel and Bill Burt. Come on down next April 7-8 and see for yourselves a whole lot of Ohio history.
