I know Swiss powder is the best for accuracy, but what about caps? Has anyone found cap brands (CCI, Win, etc) to be best for accuracy and do the magnum caps help or hurt accuracy in any way??
Thx,

I personally like the RWS caps, have always had good luck with them. I haven't used the magnum caps but do know a few fellows that use them and won't go any other way.

Another fan of RWS 1075's.
I haven't done an exhaustive comparison for group size. I have found them to be the clearly the most reliable.
On this topic, there's a consensus among a number of serious BPCR competitors that the mildest possible ignition source gets more consistent results (read: smaller groups). As a result, many have gotten away from Large Rifle magnum primers, gone to std. pistol primers, even adding a piece of thin paper over the primer ( a "primer wad" if you will between the open face of the primer and the powder charge) to minimize the immediate impact of the primer detonation on the compressed powder charge in the case.
If I can accumulate enough different caps, I might have to run a test....
Oh Gawd....more shooting..!!!
