Team Matches

We did a team shoot at Berryville this weekend and it was a lot of fun. Rod Brimm came up with the idea and got the ball rolling the basic rules were that you had to belong to a muzzle loading club in the state that you were representing, five members to a team, one member had to shoot a flintlock, one member had to be a woman. The guys shoot the Men's agg. and the lady shooters shot the Ladies agg. add up the scores. This being the first year we had three teams one from Arkansas one from Oklahoma and one from Missouri. I think everyone that participated really enjoyed the team shoot it does add more pressure on the shooters if you mess up a shot it's not just your score but the team also and that really hurts especially when you look around and the other team members are staring at you "like what the heck did you do that for?" The Missouri team won this year but I bet that next year it will be a lot tougher as some of these other teams get more experience at this game and I hope that we can field a lot more teams.

One good shot doesn't make a match but one bad shot dang sure can ruin a match!

Re: Team Matches

I hadn't been to Berryville since the mid 80's. Really a great bunch and everyone involved were friendly and helpful. The local Masons put on 3 feeds a day and I can't remember a match where I ate so well. This event should be on everyone's calendar!

Three things you must remember while target shooting. (1) Align the sights carefully. (2) Squeeze the trigger. (3) Say how did it get over there. http://prwarner.wix.com/mlts-masters
