    "Barrel" FS

    I have a Green Mountain .50 caliber 1 1/8" X 42" with a 1-48 twist for sale. This was mounted on a Hopkins & Allen underhammer and used for chunk shooting. It is breeched for the underhammer but could be switched to a conventional breech plug and rotated for a side hammer. Barrel  is cold blued, clean but not new, does not have any dovetails cut and has a perfect bore.  NO sights are included. Asking $150 shipped.

    Mark,
    I would have been very interested if I wasn't just now getting a similar barrel set up the way I want it.  Green mountain definitely builds a barrel well and that is not one they're likely to make more of now that they are seemingly de-emphasizing ml barrels.

    I would love to hear how it worked for you, esp. with the 1:48 twist.
