Flooding at Friendship

Any body have any information on how high the water got at Friendship this past weekend?

I wonder how things are down at the chunk and table shoot line.

I saw a couple of pictures from the bridge over Laughery Creek looking down toward the camper grounds and there was quite a bit of water spread out.

Re: Flooding at Friendship

I was there today.  The Youth, Running Boar, Table and Chunk ranges were closed for flooding.

When I got there about midday the water had reached the front of the first row of sheep sheds but was probably already starting to recede.  I had to wade through running water over ankle deep to get from the highway onto the range but walked out dry-footed three or four hours later.

Both of the VFW paid parking lots were entirely under water.  Many vendors had fled the rising waters Saturday night.  Competitors were sparse on the lines that were open.

The weather report looks good for the rest of the week so maybe competition will pick back up, but the big weekend was a wash out and probably a big financial disappointment for NMLRA and vendors.

Three things you must remember while target shooting. (1) Align the sights carefully. (2) Squeeze the trigger. (3) Say how did it get over there. http://prwarner.wix.com/mlts-masters
