New / Old SxS

Just picked up a 20 ga SxS with 38" barrelsĀ  in what I am going to cal 85-90% condition. Made by Powell out of Cinncinnatti. One ram rod thimble replaced and plenty dirty but otherwise in good shape, right down to the checkering. Anxious to pattern it and if all goes well shoot some trap this summer.

Re: New / Old SxS

Sounds like a nice gun, nice long barrels and a 20 to boot

Re: New / Old SxS

I've chased this one for almost 10 years. Took the owner that long to decide to let her go.

Re: New / Old SxS

Update on the new/old SXS. It wasn't made by the Cinncinnatti Powell, but by Powell out of Birmingham England. Spoke with them and they feel it is one of their guns, circa 1850-60. They have been in business continually since 1805. By the way, it smokes clay birds.

Three things you must remember while target shooting. (1) Align the sights carefully. (2) Squeeze the trigger. (3) Say how did it get over there. http://prwarner.wix.com/mlts-masters
