It was a lovely day for a table shoot in Kentucky today.
When the shoot started it was raining steadily and a balmy 36 degrees. When the 10 shot match was over, the rain had slowed down to a very light drizzle and it was a nice comfortable 40 degrees.
4 "brave" souls(Dennis Human, Sterling Martin, Dan Bates and Carl King) were the shooters.
We decided to make it simple so all put in $1 for each shot and $1 for for the best X. John Jayne decided the best shot for each match and handed out $4 to the winner and at the end picked out the best X and handed the winner $4.
Carl won 5 matches and had the best X just edging out Sterling. Sterling won 3 matches and Dennis won 2.
John brought some delicious brownies and although the weather was rough, a good time was had by all.
KLR table shoots will start back up on the 4th Saturday of April, 2018 we think.

Wish I could have made it. Sounds like fun!

Sounds like another good time was had by all, even if all were only 4. That's making lemonade out of lemons. Glad to see you made the best of weather and small turnout.

Mark and Barton,
It was a fun shoot for sure. No computers, no calipers, just shoot the best you can and hopefully have the best shot and you get the pot.
Thank goodness we had a covered firing line or it wouldn't have happened.
The boys at Morehead have a nice place to shoot.
Barton, look forward to making the Nov. 11 table shoot at Bryan Station. Hope the weather is a little more shooter friendly.
