Kentucky Long Rifle table shoot

We had our last scheduled table shoot for 2015. Weather was fantastic and we all had a great time. Another good shoot. The winner was
1st      Don Ross.      3.699
2nd.    Bob Grim.     5.218
3rd.     Dennis.Human 5.717

The overall top shooter for 2015 was Don Ross. He had a total of 10.183 for three shoots. Congraulations Don. A big thanks to all the shooters who came out supported our shoots this year. We are already discussing ways to improve and make our shoots better and more enjoyable for all next year. Any suggestions that you would like to see next year please let us know.

Thanks
Ken Lutes

Re: Kentucky Long Rifle table shoot

Ken,

Glad to hear it went well today and figured it would be Don or Bob as both have shot very well all year.

Thanks for all your hard work on getting the table shoot going at Morehead and thanks to the guys who help you make it happen.

Look forward to doing it again next
year.

As a suggestion would you give any thought to starting it at say 1:00 pm rather than 10:00 am. Might get a few of the church crowd out with a later start or maybe move it to Saturday's? Just a thought.

Re: Kentucky Long Rifle table shoot

Hmm the ML club that I use to be at shot at 1:00 on Sunday. I kept hearing people complaining about the shoot was always to late in getting over and causing people to,get home to late. I am all ears and willing to do what ever helps the most people come out and shoot with us.

Re: Kentucky Long Rifle table shoot

Ken,

How many shots were they shooting?

20 shots maybe for a traditional Ky Aggregate?

30 minute relays?

The table shoots at Morehead have been run very efficiently with the large number of targets that can be posted   at one time and the 4 tables to shoot from. It seems we were done shooting, targets scored and prizes given out in about 2 hours.

Start at 1:00, on the way home by 3:30 ?

Food for thought ?

Three things you must remember while target shooting. (1) Align the sights carefully. (2) Squeeze the trigger. (3) Say how did it get over there. http://prwarner.wix.com/mlts-masters
