I've got two of the three, not the Pope book, and I'm sure you'll find them interesting and informative. I'd give you 100 rounds of .22 for the one!!

Re: nice find at lgs

I had been meaning to get thre caplock book. The pope book looks really cool. Some great info inside. The historic maker book is more or less a list of makers and location over 200 years. I was hoping my pierce would be in there, it wasn't. Maybe a bit after 1850 or just not listed. Who knows

Kauffman has been around awhile,  Sellers book has a later second edition and it still handy.  Your books seem to be in great condition too, complete dust jackets.  There sure is a lot more information available today, examples:  the five volume NY State set, Curt Johnsons works on Illinois rifles and the 5 volume Ohio Longrifle set (another volume in the works.)

Plastik,
Which Pierce are you talking about? I have a wonderful Henry Pierce target rifle out of Loraine County, Ohio. If he's the one let me know, I have some info on him.

Three things you must remember while target shooting. (1) Align the sights carefully. (2) Squeeze the trigger. (3) Say how did it get over there. http://prwarner.wix.com/mlts-masters
