There were 7 shooters for the match yesterday. It was all Kentucky shooters.
The weather was warm, upper 70's to lower 80's, sunny and very humid towards the end of the match. No breeze to deal with.
Scores ranged from 3.535" to 8.886" and it ended up like this:
1. Bo Courtney 3.535"
2. Bobby Grimm 3.570"
3. Carl King 3.769"
4. Sterling Martin 3.856"
The other shooters were Steve Brown, Scott Musick and Walt Rybka.
Best X went to Carl King with a 0.045"
Thanks to Bob Wolford for being the range officer, Dennis Winburn and John Jayne for running the shoot, scoring the targets and providing the beans and cornbread and the chocolate brownies.
As a side note, I guess everyone has heard by now about the fantastic string that Dave Krumme shot up at Alan Coon's place for the Indiana State Table Shoot Championship Saturday. 10 shots, 30 yards, 1.88". I have heard both 1.85" and 1.88", either way it is a phenominal string. 7 spiders I understand.
Congratulations Dave !!
Bryan Station will vote today on their Table Shoot for August 1st. The governor here has put some tough constraints on just about everything here but they have a lot of room for social distancing and the range is in the middle of a 1000 acres so all should be safe.
Xenia has a table shoot scheduled for August 9th after their chunk match on Saturday, August 8th.
Be safe, stay healthy and get out and shoot.
