Thanks guys for the prayers concerning the failed cataract surgery I had in April.
After 6 months of waiting for things to get better, I sought a second opinion. This doctor
looked at everything and turned me over to a retina specialist in St. Louis.
My visit with him was very encouraging. We decided to do surgery and remove all the floaters,
dried blood, double vision and other debris that was in there. That happened on the 11th of October.
I have had 90% of my eye sight back! I still have a little blurriness and a very very light blue haze
hanging around but he said that should also improve. I can now read without glasses.
Maybe, just maybe I will see good enough to start shooting again come spring!
I check this forum every night and things have been awful slow as of late. I know the
weather is changing for the worse, in my opinion and we've already had a tracking snow
the day before Halloween. I don't look forward to winter.
Deer season is upon us now and everyone in the family is gearing up for the hunt.
Even my 96yr. old father-in-law is getting his rifle sighted in! We lost his companion of 73yrs. in April and there's been quite an adjustment for him.
Well practice when you can and maybe me and a couple of other fellers can venture east and get some lessons on table shooting next summer. I certainly hope so.
Thanks for letting me ramble.
