Sighter Targets ?

What do you guys use for a sighter target ?     Do you use the same target  for chunk and table shoots?
Post them if you have them.
Are there any online pics ?

Re: Sighter Targets ?

Crank,
The sighter you use for table shooting is going to be to small for log shooting. I haven't shot log in a while but will be this summer and I've made up some sighters that have a 5" center. Don't know yet if they'll work but it's my starting point. My table sighter only has a 2" center. Different types or shapes of sighters will have to be sized accordiningly.

Re: Sighter Targets ?

Like Mark said, different ranges call for different size. Mine are just about what Mark uses. VERY brightly colored round center on a black background with a white strip across the bottom placed tangentially to the center. The size is chosen to provide a small "Corona" around the black "dot" of a post and dot front sight, or to juuusssst fit inside the "lollipop" in my Lyman front globe, where that insert is legal. I found the white strip to be a good addition to help not lost the black sight in the background.   When I have even coverage of that bright spot...they all go in the same hole.
Except for that one that didn't...!!!!

Three things you must remember while target shooting. (1) Align the sights carefully. (2) Squeeze the trigger. (3) Say how did it get over there. http://prwarner.wix.com/mlts-masters
