Yes it is a tube sight. I have an original picket ball rifle from the late 1850's with one.

I think he did great. As the new captain of the US team he is leading by example. I plan to congratulate him in person late next week when I am in his shop.

My area looks like it'll be a week from Saturday before the temperatures get back to normal.
The Keith owned sluggun showed up Tuesday so I have 2 peice bullets to cast and swag. I also have all the loading information to go over while I wait for the weather.

Yesterday I purchased an California built flintlock bench rifle. It was made in the early 60's I think. Barrel by E.F.Herman of Pasadena stocked by R.E.Siler. shot by Ray Day. According to the description it was featured in the February 1965 copy of "The Firing Line "magazine of the California Rifle and Pistol Association showing Mr Day with the rifle and a new state and national record target he shot with it. I would like help finding a copy of the magazine or a reprint of the article.

I have been shooting bench guns at my home range which has good benches. Now as I get ready to shoot some matches I need an portable bench. Does anyone have diagrams of what they are using?

Pretty much the same around Eastern Kansas. The club range has been open so I got a little shooting in. Mostly writing an couple articles for Lee Shaver and The Single Shot Exchange. Was over to Lee's Wednesday he said that he will be working on the Gardner in the near future.
John I hope to see you at one of your table matches soon.
Also will put the Mo. State Match on my calendar.

John thanks for the information on the shooting at the farm. Last I heard was when they were shutdown. I will try to get over from Arma to some of their shoots.

I'll second that. I was out shooting cast bullets today. Just got my flintlock back with new sights so I need to get it to the range next time.

I am interested in this rifle if still for sale. What part of the state are you in? I'm in SE Kansas and would like to do a face to face transfer so as not to have to ship the weight.
